London songstress Chantitown delivers alluring electro-folk mystic ‘River’ ahead of upcoming EP release

UK-based singer-songwriter, producer and songstress Chantitown shares her latest alluring single “River” ahead of her upcoming self-released EP titled Nightingale, scheduled for December 14th. Since the release of her last compelling body of work, Cause and the Cure EP, which was co-produced and co-composed with Jim Hustwit (Universal Music, National Theatre, Almeida Theatre) who also holds credit as People’s Music Award Film and Music Composer, Chantitown has made extraordinary waves across the scene, receiving praise from the likes of CLASH Magazine, Music Week, Paste Magazine and many more.

Taking inspirational cues from legendary song-writers Joni Mitchell, Carol King and Tracy Chapman, with exceptional nods and electronic twists akin to Portishead or MGMT , Chantitown’s ability to evoke pure emotion and tell captivating stories throughout her music has transformed her into the powerful songstress she is today – comparable to artists such as Lorde, Bat For Lashes or Aurora for her enchanting yet provocative nature.

“River” by Chantitown boasts her capacity to enthral and impress; this mystical journey begins with plucked guitars, pounded heartbeats and of course, Chantitown’s ethereal vocal presence. Breaking into an electro-acoustic section which bleeds emotion and temptation, building and layering upon heartstring-tugged atmospheres, Chantitown certainly wears her heart on her sleeve and feeds on this notion to constantly deliver crisp, wonderfully produced material, setting the bar exceptionally high for aeons to come.
