Austrian Indie-electronic act, Lex Audrey have released their self-produced, composed and mixed debut album No Intention Of Changing The World. Out on Las Vegas Records, it features their latest single, ‘Winter II,’ which was premiered by top end tastemaker publications COMPLEX .
The Vienna-based trio is Niklas Pichler (vocals), Patrick Pillichshammer (drums and samples), and Lukas Staudinger (synth and bass). Drawing parallels to acts like Bastille, Bob Moses, Foster The People, and Son Lux, Lex Audrey manages to tiptoe on the thin line that blends all the best elements from rock, indie, and electronica.
“It‘s hard to summarize this album in just a few sentences, as we worked very long and hard on it. A lot of the songs are very critical about how technology sometimes has a negative impact on society and the way people interact with each other. We don‘t know if our listeners feel the same way about it yet, but we can‘t wait to find out.” says vocalist Niklas.
No Intention Of Changing The World is a diverse 12-track effort, and Lex Audrey remain enigmatic in terms genre on this album. However, there seems to be unceasing energy within the music, an array of song styles that one can’t help but feel shouldn’t work on paper, but certainly do.
