Lovely off-kilter band Acid Tongue consists of lead singer Guy Keltner and drummer/ visual artists Ian Cunningham. The band has adapted to the times and released music remotely since the day the world turned upside down when the global pandemic hit. Keltner & Cunningham both note that the pandemic has lead them to access their mental health and evolve their experimental rock sound even further. In 2016 the band unveiled their very own imprint Freakout Records and along with this big move they also host an annual event called the Freakout Festival. Due to release their album Arboretumin in November of this year, the lads have shared that they will be spreading gems (not germs) along the way as the release date approaches. Today, we are pleased to share their latest music video ‘Take Me To Your Leader’ featuring the renowned act Death Valley Girls. This video is a retro time capsule that calls to mind old Frankenstein films.
Guy Keltner adds: “We linked up with Bonnie Bloomgarden of Death Valley Girls to create a good old-fashioned rock & roll song. The resulting tune was rewritten on a certain cold January day as we watched a bunch of full-grown adults act like crybabies, throwing a big tantrum in DC. The video is a playful, dark spin on everything we were feeling as we watched with despair.?
