[PREMIERE] Indie band Gold & Youth share striking melancholic music video

Announcing that their full-length album Dream Baby is set for official release on the 5th of November via Paper Bag Records, top-notch Vancouver based indie band Gold & Youth have shared the first taster for this forthcoming album. The track is titled ‘The Worse The Better’ and it will have you looking back at days when you wrote poetry in your diary with your music on full blast. Kind of melancholic with undeniable charm, this track is a guaranteed gem to add on to any alternative playlist. We are pleased to share the strikingly monochrome lyric video for the track with our Indie Music community today, which features wrecked and forgotten spaces and landscapes that the music seems to fill and give new life to.

On the track, Gold & Youth say, “The Worse the Better is a fun little bop about water-sliding into the abyss. A woozy anthem for the downwardly mobile about the crushing banality of evil rendered by the acid vat of late-stage capitalism as we work dead-end jobs at the end of history and pray for some technocratic savior to build us a biodome on Mars. Loud and fast and then sputtering and wheezing, kind of like a dream machine going kaputt as it runs out of gas. Truly the feel-bad hit of the summer! Tell your friends.”
