The Burma tackles social connection in new song

The Burma have done it again (read our previous feature on their single ‘Sleepers’ here). They have mustered their creative forces to write a song…but not just any song. This one is special. It addresses the challenges that we face in the modern era, such as being disconnected in a hyper-connective world, and the regret that losing touch may one day cause us. The underlying depth of ‘Hard To Say’ is difficult to put into words, but The Burma conveys it through feeling and energy.

When listening to the record, released under The Burma Music imprint, you will immediately hear vocalist Tony O’Donovan breathing heavily between words as he delivers each lyric with gravitas. The Band’s choice to retain the vocal breaks and panicked inhales was the best decision they could have made. These organic elements add texture and emotion to the overall composition, embodying sincerity. Each word is believable and novel, which helps us to experience the sense of remorse that the song speaks about.
