‘Battle Hardened’ is like a struggle between two distressed hearts seeking dominance. It is full of tension and sardonic emotional releases. The track contains raw power and emotions that slips through the entire body. The vocals rip through the guitar strings eloquently. The lyrics take the listener through a lamentation of the complications of unsatisfied loved. The lyricism, arranged in imploring rhetorics, showcases Mellor‘s formidable songwriting genius.

Discussing the creative process behind recording the new single, Mellor says, “We didn’t know how it was going to turn out all through the recording process, but it quickly became a favourite amongst us. Very mischievous sounding track, complemented by the lyrics. A been there done that, stubborn attitude to love”.
