Last week Thursday, the Italian Indie Rock band Masseduction shared their second-ever original single with the world. Titled ‘Blame’, the single follows ‘Eager Eyes’, which was the first single the band released after dropping a number of covers, namely Billie Eilish’s ‘NDA’ and Halsey’s ‘Bells in Santa Fe’.

Hedonistic and animalistic, the record appeals to our deepest impulses. Red light drenches the band in mystique, colouring them in a certain sinful appeal. Raw and embodied, the song thrums with a cathartic combination of walking bass, distorted amp-drive, and bold choruses, which do not fall short of energy but instead reach heights and highs of thrashing euphoria.

In ‘Blame’, the band is dealing with deeper issues. The lead singer Giordano Giacchetti elaborated: “Being disappointed in who’s supposed to be close to us can be really frustrating. You can also read it into self-delusion, most people fail to accept themselves the right way. I do believe everyone experienced this at some point, it’s all about letting it go”.
