British band The Avenues releases simmering Indie-Rock track ‘Another Movie’.

Hull Based Indie-Rock band The Avenues return with another rocking release in, ‘Another Movie’, shared on the 15th of September. The four-piece indie-rock band burst onto the scene in late 2018 and have since made a name for themselves through their electrifying performances and remarkable songwriting. With sold-out shows in their hometown, and performances on the main stage at the prestigious Humber Street Sesh Festival, the band has shared the stage with acclaimed acts such as Spector, The K’s, and The Royston Club

Another Movie’ is a sensational Indie-Rock track with a heavy dose of Punk. Fast paced and frantic, electric guitars sear and swoop across the soundscape, as the drums rattle out at full throttle. Lyrically, it’s existential and nihilistic, as the band explores the eternal question of purpose and how best to eradicate the curtain of sorrow and confusion that hangs above us in our 20’s. Singing about the escapism found in lazy days with friends, it’s seen as a means to temporarily escape the relentless anxieties of everyday life.

And in a boring town with nothing going for you, sometimes it’s the little things that keep us going. With a message that easily resonates with most, the emotional depth and authenticity of their songwriting shine through on ‘Another Movie’, going hand in hand with the heavy mosh-pitting instrumental.
