Indie-Rock band Koala Voice return with their racing new single, ’Late For The Party’, released on the 13th October 2023. Having previously opened for the eminent American Alt-rock band Pixies, the Slovene quartet has been breaking sonic and continental borders over the last few years. In 2022, they cemented their international appeal, winning a HEMI Music Award. Not to mention winning a Golden Flute Award in the category of Album of The Year for their 2021 project Plata. We took some time out to ask the trailblazing band some rapid-fire questions. Check it out below.
Walk us through your creative process?
The creative process is happening all the time, while on tour, while hanging out, while talking, while listening. Gathering the emotions and stories and trying to put them out to the world, hoping it does something meaningful to the world. So basically the creative process never ends, as long as you keep creating.
Who are your biggest artistic influences?
The Strokes, Iggy pop, David Bowie, The white stripes…

What would you like to work with if you weren’t a musician?
As long as it is something meaningful to the world.
Whats one piece of gear you can’t live without? What equipment are you using?
For me personally, my fender jazz bass guitar, it has been my devoted companion, never letting me down. 🙂
Tell us something unrelated to music. What are your hobbies?
Pool/Billiards, martial arts (watching moreso than practicing)
If you could meet one performer/artist who would it be?
David Bowie
What does the future hold for you as an artist?
Hopefully doing what we are doing now, creating music. Short term plans include making new album, so that is our main goal, after that some tours around Slovenia and rest of Europe.
