The Irrepressibles hold nothing back on new chamber pop single, Will I Ever Find a Home?

Jamie Irrepressible, and his seven-piece band The Irrepressibles, have unveiled one more stirring single, ‘Will I Ever Find a Home?’. Out via Of Naked Design from the 23rd of November. Following the release of his latest EP, Self Love & Acceptance, this new track closes the group’s chapter on chamber pop. Manchester-based vocalist and composer, Jamie started The Irrepressibles back in 2002 and now boasts a discography of three critically acclaimed albums. Collectively amassing over three billion streams, he has also collaborated with industry icons like Røyksopp, Rex The Dog, and Ionalee. More recently, The Irrepressibles performed the Self Love & Acceptance EP to sold-out shows in churches and concert halls across the UK, such as St Mark’s in Edinburgh, London’s St Luke’s, and Oxford’s St Barnabas’. Listen to the stunning acoustics on the new track here:

Hauntingly brave and instantly iconic, ‘Will I Ever Find a Home?’ is a piano ballad that delves into the sorrows of isolation experienced by queer members of society. Jamie’s voice is potently crisp, as the beautifully echoing sounds explore yearning; the deep desire to find a home within a loved one. Strings swell to a crescendo as Jamie’s voice seems to waver, before bravely singing out – obstinately calling out for a brighter future.

Jamie Irrepressible shared: “’Will I Ever Find A Home?’ expresses the longing to find that someone as a gay man or queer person in these times of fleeting affairs and commercialism where the sense of home with someone to love becomes all too elusive.”
