Scottish pop rock band Copper Lungs return with an electrifying single ‘Life Your Way’, released on August 30th via Timeless Music. The track is their third release in 2024, with two previous singles released in May and July. The four-piece band have shared stages with the likes of Fatherson, Vukovi and The Xcerts, and have also gained support from BBC Radio 1 Introducing and Amazing Radio.
Copper Lungs draw inspiration from the likes of Nothing But Thieves and The Band Camino. Their trademark sound is a pristine blend of evocative three-part harmonies, soothing synths and energetic guitar riffs. Their sound appeals to a vast range of listeners, as they’ve performed at notable music festivals, including Wickerman Festival and T in The Park in Scotland.
The inspiration behind the single came from songwriter Darren Lindsay’s girlfriend, who suggested they write a song about their dog. Instead, the track turned into a blissful anthem about the fragility of life, the moments we share, connections, love and ultimately just making the most of it while we’re able to. Aside from being incredibly catchy, the track’s production is remarkably eloquent and refined, with dramatic guitar melodies, and powerful drums swaddled in Darren’s emotive vocals.
Songwriter Darren shares: “We aim to write powerful catchy songs with deep meanings in them, and writing ‘Life Your Way’ was an incredible journey as it really made me think about life. I hope that others out there can relate to this feeling of living life to the fullest, with its highs and lows”
