Galway based indie singer and songwriter Thomas McPartland, also known as Partland, has been sharing sweet lyrics and melodies for over 15 years across the city. He has also opened as support for names like ​​Damien Dempsey, Ham Sandwitch, Picturehouse, and Heathers in the last few years. Unable to perform in the lockdown period, the musician tapped into other forms of art by creating stop-motion music videos to several songs on his forthcoming album release The Empty Atlantic. While we wait to see this vision come to life in the coming weeks, we are delighted to present one of Partland’s animations for his new song ‘After The Movie’. The lyrics explore the trials that every new relationship goes through after the honeymoon period has phased out. This is the time when you question whether this relationship has longevity or if it is time to let it fizzle out.
