Guud Grief release a spirited and sincere single, ‘These Kids Just Wanna Be Famous’

Dublin-based band Guud Grief emerges onto the music scene with a clear mission and a distinct sound rooted in the communal spirit of rugged rhythms. Their latest single, ‘These Kids Just Wanna Be Famous’, dropped on June 12th, 2024 and is the third release from the Irish blues punk group, showcasing a blend of political and spiritual depth that sets them apart.

Fronted by Mark Logan, also known for his role in establishing Audio Department Records, Guud Grief gained initial recognition with their debut single, ‘Lay In The River’, in 2022. Since then, they’ve honed their craft through festival performances across Ireland, delving into the complexities of modern society, as reflected in their latest single and accompanying video.

‘These Kids Just Wanna Be Famous’ serves as a poignant anthem for our times, with Logan’s compelling vocals navigating between poetry and song against a festival-themed backdrop. Drawing inspiration from nature and literary giants like Rumi, Guud Grief blends blues, punk, and rock ‘n’ roll to create a captivating and authentic musical experience, echoing their message of stripping away superficiality in today’s music landscape.

“Music is a sacred force, and we want our songs to strip away the masks of superficiality,” says frontman Mark Logan.
