Swedish indie pop sensation VELVET MOON are back with their latest gem, ‘A Love Song’ which released on October 11th 2024 via Argle Bargle Studios. Hailing from Stockholm, the trio is set to unveil their highly anticipated album in 2025, with ‘A Love Song’ as an exciting preview.

With 15 million streams across various platforms and global praise for their first three albums, VELVET MOON has steadily become a name to reckoned with. Their captivating music has also graced TV commercials for Kappahl and Bollinger in Sweden. Lyricist and vocalist Sandra Bjurman pours her personal experiences as well as reflections on societal issues into their music, while producers Stefan Örn and Johan Glössner craft rich soundscapes that support Sandra’s compelling storytelling and powerful vocals.

Co-written by all three band members and produced by Örn and Glössner, ‘A Love Song’ is a heartfelt tribute to a dearly missed friend. The track dives into the sorrow of loss, and the weight of unspoken words, all wrapped in sentimental 80s-inspired instrumentation. With dramatic guitar riffs, a driving drum beat, and Sandra’s stirring vocals leading the charge, it’s a poignant and memorable addition to their repertoire.

VELVET MOON shared; “ ‘A Love Song’ was written during a trip to Palma, shortly after the loss of a dear friend. The band shared a poem that inspired the song. The best ones are taken early. And so were you, Peder. Your wings touched everyone. Your laughter will live within us”.
