Chloe Star has released the music video for ‘call you back’ today. The 28-year-old singer-songwriter, visual artist and tribal advocate was born in Los Angeles and now splits her time between Los Angeles and London. Raised between San Bernardino and Los Angeles with Persian and Indigenous roots, she first tapped into songwriting through journaling as a pre-teen. She broke into the alternative scene in 2023 with a distinct voice and has since built a growing fanbase that responds to the straight-up honesty and emotional weight in her songs. Rolling Stone featured her track ‘Bad Habit’ in its 2025 Best New Music: Songs You Need to Know list, and she has earned write-ups in CLASH Magazine, 1883 Magazine, EUPHORIA and EARMILK. She has also performed on the main stage at London Pride, New York Pride Festival, Back Lot Bash in Chicago, Out & Abt in New York and The Dinah in California. Her influences include Amy Winehouse, Nirvana, Janis Joplin and YUNGBLUD, and her sound draws ready comparisons to Paramore, Billie Eilish and YUNGBLUD; ‘call you back’ slots comfortably alongside the energy of P!nk, Avril Lavigne and Paramore.

The ‘call you back’ music video brings the song’s heartbreak anthem core to the screen through a punk attitude and quick-cut editing set to upbeat punk drums. It plays out as a murder mystery short film built around the moment of discovering infidelity and the messy fallout that follows, complete with comedic simulated violence and stunts coordinated by Nate Horowitz. It also features a surprise dance recital in the middle, choreographed by Ryan Ramirez to add another layer to the edgy video. One of the many stand out moments of the music video is where we see Chloe Star oozing charisma during the scenes where her mugshots are being taken, and shades of her predecessors like “Let go” Avril and “Riot” Hayley Williams shine through.

Chloe Star had this to say: “The ‘call you back’ music video closely reflects the meaning of the song. It follows the moment I walk in on my girlfriend cheating, and the emotional spiral that follows. We had so much fun bringing it to life, working alongside incredibly talented creatives and stunt performers. The video captures the pain and intensity that comes with betrayal.”
