Olovson, the Swedish-born producer now based in Los Angeles, releases his latest track ‘UNTANGLE‘ today, via his lable 1136 Diamond. This release positions itself as the lead single from his upcoming full-length album, following the recent rollout of ‘THINGS I COULD’VE LEFT BEHIND‘, which earned play from heavyweights like NPR Music, KCRW, and KEXP 90.3 FM. Building on his 2022 debut Storytelling—which racked up 3 million streams and nods from outlets including Rolling Stone India, Wonderland Magazine, CLASH, PopMatters, BBC Radio 6, and NTS—Olovson has carved out a niche with his piano-driven audiospheres.
His production credits include Grammy wins alongside Frank Ocean, Dua Lipa, and Mark Ronson, while tracks like ‘Books Are Flying‘ landed in the SHOWTIME series The Man Who Fell to Earth, and the video for ‘Gyroscope‘ scored nominations at festivals such as Encounters, London Short Film Festival, and LIFA.
At its core, ‘UNTANGLE‘ pulses with the guiding undercurrent of the sub-bass, layered over subtle padded percussion. Olovson‘s falsetto glides through softly, carrying his vocals over the dreamy down-tempo melody.
Olovson shared: “This song is about untangling the emotions and patterns you carry — and realizing you’re allowed to let go — and coming out on the other side feeling more at peace.”
