Seth Tabatznik’s ‘Shining for Love’ Hits Streams with Earthy Indie Folk

Seth Tabatznik, the London-raised indie folk up-and-comer, released his latest single, ‘Shining for Love,’ on November 7 via Moth Music, marking another step up in his rise to stardom. Since jumping onto the music scene back in 2024, he’s gained just over 100,000 streams across platforms, with his earlier drop ‘Choose To Be Alive’ earning nods from CLASH Magazine. He’s translating that online pull to packed venues live too—his debut set at Boschendal Estate in Cape Town, South Africa, sold out on arrival. He kept the momentum going with a packed house at Green Note in London’s Camden neighborhood. Eyes are already on his second album, due out in 2026, as Tabatznik carves out space in indie folk’s unpretentious lane.

‘Shining for Love’ rolls out as an understated acoustic number, spotlighting the wild’s low-key take on affection through breathy vocals, guitar work that strums on tender string lines, and gentle shaker taps that cradle Tabatznik‘s steady, earnest singing.

From his London roots to his current spot in South Africa’s Western Cape highlands, Tabatznik‘s folk lean into acoustic drive and a restrained medicine-music approach, full of grounded lyrics and layered vocals that echo old trails and fresh paths. Nick Mulvey‘s guidance shaped his next record. At the same time, early pointers from guitar mentor Rainer Scheurenbrand honed that blend of daily grind and deeper quests—landing him in good company with Bon Iver‘s sparse setups, Noah Kahan‘s direct tales, and Mulvey‘s crisp picking.

Seth Tabatznik had this to say: “This song came to me in a forest, spoken by the elements around me. It was like nature took my pen and transcribed the lyrics into my notebook, accompanied by a simple 4 chord progression. I love how the song builds and accelerates as a celebration for life, love and nature. This song is all about nature and how her every action comes from a place of love. Every sound, every movement, is her way of expressing herself, as she is one being, of which we are a part, not apart.
