Sydney’s indie trio Valley Onda has just dropped their latest single ‘‘Reebok Fantasy’‘ on Friday, September 12, 2025, through their own Valley Onda Records. Building on the momentum from ‘‘Minacious’‘ and its video debut via CLASH Magazine, the band—formed in 2019—has racked up over 350,000 streams with their introspective indie rock edge. They’ve caught ears from key outlets like triple j, plus features in The AU Review, Happy Mag, Where The Music Meets, and Clunk Mag, and shared stages on national tours with The Money War and Brightness. At the core are Jordan Wilson on vocals and guitar (ex-Georgia Fair, with openers for Paul Kelly, Laurel, and John Mayer), Michiya Nagai on keys (who’s backed Lamalo for crowds over 15,000 at The Grass is Greener and scored a TEDx Melbourne event), and Galen Sultmann on drums. The Gadigal-rooted group sparked in a post-tour haze at a Sydney eatery, where Jordan linked with Galen, later pulling in Michiya‘s classical piano chops and production skills to shape a layered alternative rock vibe influenced by Radiohead, Alt-J, Mansionair, Bon Iver, Muse, and Gorillaz—a fit for listeners into REM, Cage The Elephant, and The Verve.

On ‘‘Reebok Fantasy’‘, Valley Onda crafts an immersive indie rock track that builds from subdued unease into a gripping payoff. Jordan Wilson‘s commanding vocals lead the way, backed by stripped-back acoustic strums and subtle, echoing layers that give the lyrics a hazy, reflective pull.

Valley Onda shared: “Do you know that feeling when you’re walking down the street feeling isolated and everyone else is looking cool in their designer clothing? So you pull into a Nepalese Restaurant and order a tea to hide out for a minute. Maybe open a paperback or meet someone interesting. That’s the vibe of ‘Reebok Fantasy’.”
