NAïFiC has unveiled his latest single, ‘Chulyen (Corbeau)’ (French for ‘Raven’), the second release from his upcoming EP, Anpo Wie. Following the first single, ‘Terre promise’, the French electro-pop artist with Native American roots delivers a hauntingly rhythmic track that blends layered percussion with acoustic touches of piano and guitar, creating a compelling and emotive soundscape.
At its core, ‘Chulyen (Corbeau)’ is a poetic allegory of death, symbolised by the raven’s dark feathers and its inevitable presence in our lives. The accompanying music video visually amplifies this theme, portraying death as a striking half-bird, half-human figure. Through vivid storytelling and stunning visuals, the video deepens the song’s exploration of loss and the challenge of accepting its permanence, all inspired by NAïFiC’s Lakota heritage and values.
