Released on 27 November 2025, ‘Lady Moon’ arrives as a pivotal release for Chapters of Forever, the project born from the creative partnership of Alex Pazos and Pedro Martínez. The pair first crossed paths in Puebla during music school, where a rushed end-of-term assignment unexpectedly carved out the foundation for their collaboration. That early experiment produced ‘Lady Moon’, a track they shelved when the pandemic forced them apart and interrupted their momentum. By 2022, after reconnecting in Puebla, the duo put out ‘Wondering’ and ‘Mary-Ann’, songs that hinted at their growing interest in structured, mood-forward rock. Pedro later moved into other creative work, but stayed involved as Alex continued steering the project solo.
The long-dormant debut composition finally resurfaced in June 2025. Produced by Javi Machine, the recording places Alex’s piano and vocals at the center, with Guillermo Espinosa adding acoustic and electric guitar lines and Javi shaping the rhythmic backbone. Mastering by Rafael Calderón rounds out a mix that highlights the track’s shifting meter, modal movement, and steady dramatic build.
‘Lady Moon’ ultimately plays like a time capsule; an idea conceived in uncertainty, refined through years of distance, and finished with a clearer artistic identity. Chapters of Forever shared: “‘Lady Moon’ is a song that feels timeless, it’s almost as if it had existed for centuries. I think about the night that I wrote it, as a songwriter to be, with the fearlessness and rawness of one who meets his ‘opera prima’, and I just remember looking up… staring at Lady Moon, as the words fell into place.”
