Black Light White Light reach out in ‘A Mutual Love’

It hasn’t been much more than a month since we featured the Indie outfit Black Light White Light. Back with more music, the band is now sharing another single for fans to enjoy. Where ‘Epilepsy’ explored themes of confusion and seemingly questioned the sanity (or the lack thereof) of interpreted experience, their latest offering, titled ‘A Mutual Love’, is less introspective and more outward reaching. In it, lead singer Martin Ejlertsen seems to be reaching out, looking for connection, searching for reciprocated affection.

As the opening track of his most recent album, The Admirer, it introduces a wholly psychedelic sound that carries throughout the 10-track project like a bright red thread, stitching together aspects of Indie Rock and the band’s own choice of sound direction and songwriting. To this end, Black Light White Light said: “I think the album presents the band’s most personal, versatile and certainly most adventurous release to date.”
