Acclaimed producer and music whizz, Marcus James has teamed up with esteemed duo RYYZN in what can be described as a gift from above in their latest single ‘Night light’, released today. The stripped version welcomes with it the announcement of the upcoming stripped Warning Sign EP via Physical Presents. The original EP, saw the team supported by Youtube channels Sensual Musique and Cloudx Music. Marcus James’ latest offering is soothing, yet showcases emotions while heightening your senses by showcasing the acoustics. The lyrics perfectly add to the world of indie and creates a surreal atmosphere. Additionally featured on Spotify playlists such as Cardio and Tropical House, but to name a few, the original EP garnered just under 1.4 million plays across streaming platforms. James has also shared the stages with the likes of Robin Schulz, 3LAU and Lost Frequencies but to name a few.
The latest release is a fresh taste to an awesome collaboration, that showcases pure talent at its best. An awesome delivery yet again. ‘Night Light’ can be compared to the likes of Dayglow, My Morning Jacket, Jacob Lee and Vance Joy. Shot in an intimate home setting, the acoustic video provides a glimpse into the inter-personal dynamics of the three.
RYYZN share their thoughts on the remake of the song: “Getting a chance to redo Night Light was a treat for me. Normally when you sing vocals for a pop record, you have to sort of keep everything very simple and focused. But with the acoustic stripped-down remake, it gave me license to have some fun with it. I got to really SING the song, and throw some fun little changes into it that I always wanted but thought maybe weren’t as ‘poppy’.”
