Austrian born Ro Bergman released ‘All We Are’ a couple of weeks back. The single was released ahead of his EP New Horizon that is expected to be available 25 October via Bergman Music and follows on from singles ‘Horizon’ and ‘Clouds’
The song premiered via CLASH Magazine. It was produced by Niko Stoessl (Dave Gahan, IamX, NIHILS, Motoboy) and composed by both Bergman and Stoessl. The singer has been praised by the likes of Elicit Magazine, XS Noize, VH1 and MTV. Ro Bergman explains his latest single ‘All We Are,’ “Nothing is ever ours forever. We should stop trying to own life…”
Bergman’s unique blend of indie-rock draws influence from artists like Beck, Bon Iver, Fink, The National and The Verve, but his sound still remains unique without mirroring theirs. While his sound is undeniably his own, it bears reminiscence to Tame Impala, Foals, Local Natives and Chet Faker. Each song could bear resemblance to other artists, but never emulate one alone. ‘All We Are’ for example is nostalgic of early Coldplay but still distinctly Bergman’s.
If ‘All We Are’ is any indication of what might follow, Bergman is definitely one to watch. We look forward to hearing what he has to offer next. But for now, we can drift away into ‘All We Are’ below.
