Chloe Star introduced her latest single, ‘Walking On The Sun’, this past weekend through Chloe Star Records. At 28, the Persian and Indigenous singer-songwriter, visual artist, and tribal advocate bridges her upbringing between her family’s reservation in San Bernardino and the vibrant pulse of Los Angeles, weaving her cultural roots into every note. She began expressing herself through journaling and art as a pre-teen, nurturing a songwriting voice defined by raw honesty and heartfelt authenticity. Since her debut in 2023, her audience has grown steadily. Her song ‘Bad Habit’ earned a spotlight in Rolling Stone’s 2025 Best New Music: Songs You Need to Know. On stage, Star has captivated crowds at London Pride’s main stage and made memorable appearances at New York Pride Festival, Chicago’s Back Lot Bash, Out & Abt in New York, and The Dinah in California.
With ‘Walking On The Sun’, Star sharpens her alt-rock roots, blending trap-inspired beats with searing, distorted guitar lines. The song simmers with tension, layering sounds until it bursts into a soaring, unforgettable hook where fierce rock energy meets the pulse of urban rhythms. Star’s powerful and magnetic vocals drive the track, giving it a bold, modern edge that will strike a chord with fans of Julia Wolf, Machine Gun Kelly, and Sleep Token.
Chloe Star shared: “This song is about the corruption I’ve seen in the treatment and rehab industry, where profit often seems to matter more than genuinely helping people recover. I’ve been through facilities that made me feel like they were more interested in keeping me sick so I would keep coming back. Fortunately, I was later blessed to find an incredible rehab center that truly cared about its clients and wanted them to get better. That experience changed my life, and it was the last rehab center I ever attended.”
