With their second single ‘Diamond In The Rough,’ international rock project ZOCO proves that subtlety often says the most. Founded by Geneva-born Marco Zocco, the track is an elegant meditation on connection and authenticity, co-written with his brothers Paolo and Matteo Zocco, and inspired by the richness of experience and cultural duality.
Set against the romantic landscape of Milan, the song navigates the turn from surface thrills to something more lasting. It places tone and emotion above fireworks, evoking the heart of 90s alt-rock while retaining cinematic detail. Zocco’s baritone vocals, joined by the vocal harmonies of Gunnar and Matthew Nelson, guide the listener through a soundscape both expansive and intimate. Guy Erez (Alan Parsons) on bass and London Hudson on drums provide the track’s rhythmic backbone.
Produced by Gunnar Nelson, executive produced by Kerry Brown, and co-produced by Jake Pace and Carmine Rojas, the track delivers emotional resonance through precise production choices. The single precedes the anticipated EP LUMANISTA (Part 1), and showcases ZOCO’s drive to build something human, heartfelt, and lasting.
